A Bright and Bold Outfit

We had a beautiful weekend here in Iowa. It was warm and sunny, which was a welcomed change after the cold, rainy week we had. Feeling refreshed after a weekend full of sunshine and relaxing, I wanted an outfit that reflected my joyful mood. Glancing through my scarf collection, I found the perfect one as an outfit inspiration. The bold and bright pinks and yellows were just what I was looking for. Scarf season is quickly dwindling down and this is one I haven’t worn yet. If you have any cool weather items you’re dying to wear yet this season, now is the time. This scarf definitely fits that category. It’s one that was made by my mom (thanks, Mom!) to match my mustard sweater. You know the one, it’s the incredibly hard to match sweater that’s oh so cute (see posts here, here, and here). The scarf didn’t quite fit the bill for that sweater, but no matter. We can still create a fabulous outfit using the scarf as a guide. Since the scarf is so bold and fabulous, I wanted that to be the star of the show. So I kept the rest of the outfit simple by pairing together a pink long-sleeved tee, a white tank, jeans, and pink pumps. I’m quite happy with the result and glad that I have a bright, bold, fun look for a Monday!
