Hey, guys! Welcome back to Talk Fabulous!
Today on Fabulous Finds Friday, we’re reviewing dry shampoos. Dry shampoo is a staple in my hair routine in the winter. I have extremely oily hair, but I don’t like to wash it every day during the winter. This is partly because I don’t want to dry it out and mostly because I’m lazy. Dry shampoo is also great for adding extra volume to flat, lifeless hair. This is primarily how I use it during the summer. When considering my reviews, please remember I have oily, flat, straight, blonde hair. Just because these products work well for my hair type, they may not work for your hair type and vice versa. All the products today are in the $3-$5 range and can be found at any drugstore. With that, let’s get into it!

First up is the Dove Refresh + Care Volume and Fullness Dry Shampoo (find it
here). This is one of my favorites. It leaves the hair nice and refreshed and has a subtle scent. This product does leave a bit of a white cast, so for my brunette girls out there, be careful. Although, I have heard girls with dark hair give this a glowing review. At any rate, it’s worth a try. I can usually find this at Target and I would highly recommend it!

Next, is the Suave Professionals Refresh and Revive Dry Shampoo (find it
here). This is another favorite of mine. It’s very similar to the Dove dry shampoo as it also leaves the hair nice and refreshed with a subtle scent. This product has a major white cast so I would steer clear if you have darker hair. Finding this one can be a bit of challenge. It’s hit or miss at Target. I can almost always find it at Wal-Mart. I can always find it at my local grocery store, and who doesn’t love a little one-stop shopping! If you have light hair, I would highly recommend the Suave dry shampoo!
Let’s talk about the Pantene Pro-V Blowout Extend Dry Shampoo (find it here). This is another favorite. For all the dark hair girls out there, this one’s for you! This product has no white cast, so it is suitable for all hair colors. This also leaves the hair feeling nice and refreshed with a subtle scent. I can usually find this at Target or any major drugstore. If you’re looking for a dry shampoo that will leave your hair feeling refreshed without leaving a white cast, I recommend this one!
Next up is the Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo (find it here). I actually had a hard time finding this online, so I’m not sure it’s available anymore. The link is to Target and it lists this product at $9, which is not what I remember paying for it. No matter, because you don’t need to go out and find it anyway. It works okay, but it has an extremely strong scent. The hubby thought I had rubbed alcohol on my hair. That’s not what I was going for in my scent that day. This is a pass.
Finally, let’s talk about the TRESemme Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo (find it here). I love TRESemme hair products. This one, though, was not a win for me. It felt overly wet when applying and didn’t dry down quickly. Maybe I got a bad batch? If you’ve tried this and had better luck, let me know in the comments below. Otherwise, this is a pass.
Do you use dry shampoo? What’s your favorite?
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! See you guys in my next post!
