Fabulous Finds Friday: FabFitFun

Hey, guys!  Welcome back to Talk Fabulous!

Today, I’m so excited to share my first FabFitFun box with you!  What’s FabFitFun you ask?  Well, first of all, it’s fabulous.  More specifically, it’s a seasonal subscription box of handpicked beauty, lifestyle, and fashion items.  Each box runs around $50 and is filled with $200+ worth of super fun stuff.  Here’s a rundown of what was in my first box:

Osea Atmosphere Protection Cream: $48

This is a lightweight moisturizer.  I’ve used it a few times and like it so far.  It has a matte finish, so it doesn’t look too shiny.  It seems to be working well with my oily skin giving just the right amount of hydration.  The formula has a light scent, but nothing overpowering.  Plus, it comes in a glass bottle.  Very fancy!  I was looking for a new moisturizer to try, so I was really excited when this one showed up in my box!

O.R.G. Skincare Mineral Peel Face: $44

The description of the product states it is an “all-natural enzyme exfoliant with brightening agents” which promises “smoother, softer, more radiant skin”.  Seems like a win to me!  I’ve also tried this a few times.  I’m not familiar with spray on mineral peels, so my application technique needs to be improved.  Be warned that this has a strong scent.  It actually smells a lot like those all-natural bug sprays. Seeing as we’re in the depths of winter here in the midwest, this was a welcome scent to me.  However, if you’re sensitive to smells, this might bug you a bit.   The packaging for this product is the coolest.  It comes in a circular, cardboard case, which looks better on the bathroom counter than just your standard bottle.  I’m excited to see what this product does for my skin!

Zoya Nail Polish: $10

I love nail polish, so who can be mad at having one show up in their subscription box?  This is a fabulous nude shade perfect for those who like a more subtle nail color.  Or for those of us who are too lazy to take off our nail polish once it’s chipped a little. 😉 I’ve never heard of this company, so I’m pretty excited to try this out!

Marrakesh Agran & Hemp Hair Oil: $22.99

I’ve always wanted to try argan oil, but I’ve been nervous to take the plunge.  I wasn’t sure how my hair would react to the oil since it’s already so oily.  Was I just going to look like a giant, oily mess? Who knows, so I never made a purchase. Much to my delight, this appeared in my box. I’ve used it once and liked how soft and shiny my hair was that day.  I’m looking forward to using this more!

Manna Kadar Liplocked Priming Gloss Stain: $24

This lip product does it all.  It’s a primer, lip gloss, and lip stain all-in-one!  Honestly, I’ve used this every day since I got it.  The color is fabulous; not too bright, not too dark, just perfect for everyday wear.  The formula is silky smooth and feels great on the lips.  This was a great find!

Modcloth Loch and Key Scarf: $34.99

This is my first blanket scarf.  I was so excited to see it in my box!  I’ve heard of Modcloth but never tried anything from that brand.  You can see how thrilled I was to receive it as I immediately ripped it from its original packaging.  The scarf is oh so soft and thin enough that it won’t be too heavy. Despite being thin, this will keep me plenty warm on those cold, midwest, winter days.  Can’t wait to rock it in an outfit real soon!

Jook & Nona Tag Necklace: $65

I’ve been wanting a necklace like this for awhile.  You can image my delight when I opened my box and saw this sitting there!  It’s made of 18K gold-plated stainless steel with the word “dream” inscribed on it.  It’s so delicate and adds the perfect touch to any outfit.  I love it!  I’m sure to be wearing this one for a long time to come!

FabFitFun Coloring Book & Colored Pencils: $14

Adult coloring books are all the rage right now.  They’re supposed to help with stress relief.  I’m one of those people who always has to be busy doing something so this will be the perfect activity.  Plus, I don’t even have to stay in the lines!  😄

The Created Co. To-Go Coffee Mug: $19

This was my favorite!  I had seen other people get these in their boxes and was hoping I would also have one in mine.  If you’re not happy drinking out of this cup, I don’t even know. For some reason, it just makes me smile.  I’m so excited to use this every day!

Total Retail Value: $281.98!!!

Overall, I’m really blown away by my first box.  There’s nothing in here that I won’t use.  Most of the items are from brands I’ve never heard of, so this is a great way to try out new products and new brands.  I’m especially excited about the skin care items.  I try out a lot of makeup, but skincare is not something I experiment much with.  The products tend to be more expensive and I never know which brands are going to work well for me.  This is a great way to see what works and what doesn’t. I also really like the variety in this box.  There’s some beauty products, lifestyle items, and fashion pieces, plus they’re all full-size.  This is why I opted for the FabFitFun box rather than one of the beauty boxes.  Even though this box is more expensive, I wanted the assortment of the different types of products.  I can’t wait to keep trying out what I got this season, and I’m already looking forward to my next box!

Let me know in the comments below (or on our Facebook page) if you would like to see a follow-up review of any of these products.
