New Year, New Trends

Hey, guys!  Welcome back to Talk Fabulous!

Well, it’s a new year which can only mean one thing, new trends!  So what’s hot and what’s not for 2017?  To find out the answer, I turned to PopSugar’s article What Not to Wear in 2017 and Who What Wear’s article 8 Trends that Are Going to Be Huge for 2017.  Let’s take a closer look, shall we?
What’s Out: The Choker (that didn’t last long!)
What’s In: Statement Earrings
When comparing the two lists this was the only trend mentioned in both; statement earrings.  Yes!  I can get on board with statement earrings.  I love earrings, and unless I’m super sick it’s rare to see me without them.   Below are a few of my favorite bold earrings that I’ll be sure to rock this year!

What’s Out: Off-the-Shoulder Trend
What’s In: Cold Shoulder Trend
Although I think they’re cute, I never dove into the off-the-shoulder looks.  I am quite intrigued by the cold shoulder tops, though.  This trend started popping up late last year, so perhaps they have some staying power.  It’s such a bummer to invest in trendy pieces only to have them disappear a few months later, so I’ve rounded up a few inexpensive cold shoulder tops.  I just might have to try some of these out!
Kohls: Orig $40, Sale $19.99   /   Macy’s: Orig $74, Sale $32.99   /   Target: $22.99

Here are a few other trends for this year (most of which seem questionable):

Boxy Shoulders (think mega shoulder pads)
Neon
Puffer Coats
Crop flares
Robes (yes, in 2017 it’s apparently okay to wear your robe in public)
What trend are you most looking forward to in 2017?
That’s all for today.  See you guys in my next post!
