This week’s Fabulous Finds Friday is all about L’Oreal’s Voluminous Butterfly Sculpt Mascara. The product promises to tight-line at the base while providing volume to the lashes. What’s tight-lining you might ask? Tight-lining is where you line the upper lash line creating the effect of fuller lashes and more defined eyes. Now I’m intrigued. I’ve always wanted to try tight-lining, but I’m not steady enough with the eyeliner. Excitedly, and with a bit of skepticism, I finally made the purchase. (Find it at Target here). Could this really work like they say? I rushed home to give it a whirl. Much to my surprise, it’s actually pretty good and does what it promises! There’s a couple things to watch out for, though. The brush is weird and takes some getting used to. Also, make sure to read the instructions and apply the product accordingly. Otherwise, you end up with a clumpy mess. Speaking of clumpy mess, this mascara is a tad on the clumpy side. It’s not terrible and, for the most part, you can simply brush them out and it’s fine. Despite those shortcomings, I really like this mascara. If you’re looking for a way to easily define your eyes and give your lashes some mega intensity, this is the mascara for you!
