Hey, guys! Welcome back to Talk Fabulous!
Today, let’s talk easy Halloween costumes. A few weeks ago the hubby and I received an invitation for a surprise birthday party for one of my sisters-in-law. The invite went on to say costumes were encouraged. That sounded fun for a second, but the hubby would never go for it. Much to my surprise, the hubby was on board and he even thought we should do a couples costume. Now I’m excited! After bouncing around a few silly ideas I took to Pinterest to see what wisdom that had to offer. Then, we saw it…the perfect and super easy couples costume idea…Flo from Progressive and Jake from State Farm. For the hubby’s costume all we needed was a red polo, khaki pants, and a name tag. Easy! I found a red polo at Goodwill and made a name tag. Done! For my Flo costume I needed white pants, a white shirt, a white apron, a name tag, an “I heart Insurance” button, a Progressive logo, and a headband with some puffed up hair. I found some white pants at Goodwill, bought an apron from Bed, Bath, & Beyond (using a coupon of course), and made the name tag, button, and Progressive logo. For my hair I tried to tease it as much as I could, but it didn’t quite achieve the level of volume as the real Flo. Done!
The “surprise” party was a blast and our costumes were a big hit! Below are a few shots from the night. Enjoy!
What’s your Halloween costume this year?
That’s all for today. See you guys in my next post!
