Hey, guys! Welcome back to Talk Fabulous!
Today let’s get crafty and make some rice candles! Rice candles you ask. Yes, stay with me. This was maybe one of my favorite craft projects ever. It was super easy, used stuff I already had on hand, and turned out fabulous! That’s 3 wins right there. Here’s what you’ll need: a big bag of rice (I bought mine at the dollar store), glass containers (I repurposed some old salsa jars), food coloring, Ziploc bags, and tea lights. First, divide the rice equally into 9 Ziploc bags. Is easier to color the rice if there’s less rice in each bag. Next, take a bag and add a few drops of food coloring. Seal the bag leaving some air inside. Now the fun part, shake, shake, shake! The color will begin to disperse onto the rice. Repeat until you get the desired color. For mine, I did this 2-3 times for each bag. Once you’re done dyeing your rice, add it to the jars layering the different colors to your liking. Top with a tea light and you have a super cute 4th of July candle!
